FAQs
Do I get to choose a specific artist or craft?
Yes. Tell us the art form or artisan you have in mind and we will do our best to pair you with them. Our partner artisans have been perfecting their craft for generations, and if you're open to suggestions, we'll recommend the maker best suited to your brief.
What happens after I send the enquiry?
Our team reviews your requirements and reaches out within 1-2 working days to discuss size, materials, colours, budget and timeline. The more detail you share in the form, the faster we can get started.
How is the price decided?
Once we understand your requirements, we share an estimate before any work begins. The final price is confirmed during the later stages of development; any unforeseen costs are flagged to you for approval first.
How long does a bespoke piece take?
It depends on the art form and the intricacy of your design. A Warli canvas moves faster than a carved wooden panel. We share a realistic timeline with your estimate, and quality always comes before speed.
Can I stay involved during the making?
Absolutely. We send you photos and videos from the artisan's workshop at key stages, and your feedback is incorporated through timely approvals so the finished piece is exactly what you imagined.
Can I choose or supply my own materials?
We'll share all available materials, treatments and finishes for your chosen craft, and we're happy to consider materials you'd like to supply, within reason and provided they're legal and safe to work with.
Can I visit the artisan or workshop?
In special cases we can arrange a visit, so mention it in your enquiry. Many of our artisans work from village craft clusters across India, so visits depend on location and logistics.
What if I don't like the final piece?
Our step-by-step approval process is designed to make this very unlikely, because you see and sign off on the piece at every key stage. Since bespoke orders are made only for you, we're unable to accept returns or refunds once the final payment is made.
