International Shipping, Customs & Duties
Treasure of India ships original Indian art and handmade crafts from our gallery in Palam Vihar, Gurugram, to buyers around the world. This page covers what international buyers should know before ordering: delivery time, shipping charges, customs duties, packaging and what happens if a piece arrives damaged.
Where we ship
We ship worldwide through trusted courier partners. If your country is not available at checkout, message us on WhatsApp at +91 9911131130 and we will check for you.
Delivery time
Orders usually reach international buyers within 2 to 3 weeks. Made-to-order artworks need 2 to 4 weeks of crafting time before they are dispatched. Because the final leg is handled by our courier partners and customs clearance in your country, we can't commit to an exact delivery date. Our team keeps you updated on your order status.
Shipping charges
International shipping is a flat ₹4,000 per order, to any country we ship to, shown at checkout before you pay. Very large pieces (longest side over 36 inches) or pieces that need a wooden crate may carry an extra charge. If so, we confirm it with you before dispatch.
Prices and currency
Prices on our website are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and you pay in INR at checkout. If you pay with a card issued outside India, your bank converts the amount into your currency at its own rate and may add a foreign transaction fee.
Customs duties and import taxes
Customs duties, import taxes (such as VAT or GST in your country) and any courier clearance fees are not included in our prices or the shipping charge. They are set by the destination country, depend on the item's value and category, and are paid by the buyer. Your courier may ask you to pay them before or at delivery.
Shipping to the United States
US import rules and duty rates for goods from India have changed several times recently, and duties can apply even to lower-value parcels. If you would like help understanding the likely charges for a piece, message us before you order.
Packaging
Every piece is packed by our in-house packaging team. Fragile artworks, including metal sculptures, pottery and framed paintings, are secured in multi-layer protective packaging with clear fragile labelling.
Certificate of authenticity
Each artwork is handmade by a master artisan and ships with a signed hard copy of the certificate of authenticity.
If a piece arrives damaged
Every piece is one of a kind, so we do not accept returns or exchanges. The one exception is a piece that arrives defective or damaged: record a video as you open the package, and contact us within 48 hours of delivery with that unboxing video and clear photos. Claims without an unboxing video cannot be accepted. Once verified, we offer a replacement or store credit. See our Returns & Refunds policy for details.
See a piece before you buy
Use the "Request a video call" button on any product page to see the piece live on WhatsApp, or visit our art gallery in Palam Vihar, Gurugram when you are in India.
