Chandan Chitrakar

Chandan Chitrakar is a Kalighat artist from Naya, West Medinipur, West Bengal. He began painting from a very early age, his works focus on traditional themes from the Ramayana and Mahabharata and on contemporary social issues like plantation. He has showcased his works nationally in Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, and Chennai and internationally in Beijing. He has also won awards at the district and state level and from the Rabindra Bharati university for his work.
